What to Expect at Your First Lash Appointment
•Posted on February 01 2021

How long will my first appointment be? This will depend on your lash artist, their skill level and also the type of lashes you’ve booked in for.
On average a classic set takes about 1h 30min, light volume can take between 1h30min and full volume or mega can take up to 3 hours. If you're in a time crunch, ask ahead of time how long the appointment may take.
Can I wear makeup to my appointment? It’s necessary that your eye area is completely free of makeup. Please try not to wear moisturizer, under eye concealer, foundation, mascara, eye shadow or any other products around your eye. Coming with a clean face ensures that your lash artist can spend as much time as possible doing your lashes and not cleaning/prepping the area. We understand that sometimes you are coming from work so we ask that you use our Lash Wash foaming cleanser to cleanse the area rather than an oil based makeup remover. The more time we spend cleaning your lashes, the less time we have applying them.
If I’m coming for a fill should I still wash my lashes? ABSOLUTELY! Just like when you came for your full set, it’s necessary that the lash artist has clean lashes to work on. Cleaning your lashes prior will also prevent irritation during the service and remove bacteria that may have built up on your lash line.
What should I wear? Dress comfortably and warm. Sometimes laying still can make you a little bit chilly. We suggest bringing a blanket as well if you’re generally a little bit cooler. Headphones are also nice to help you relax while you’re laying down if you're not up for a lash nap.
Can I wear my contacts? We suggest removing your contacts as laying with contacts in for up to 3 hours may cause discomfort to your eyes and we want you to be as comfortable as possible.
What happens if I fall asleep? Falling asleep is completely normal. Lash naps are the best naps!
